Creative Learning Officer
Maternity cover 12 months Fixed-Term
Salary: £31,150 pro rata (plus pension and benefits)
Full time, 36 hours per week
Location: Glasgow
We are looking for a Creative Learning Officer to join us and support Creative Scotland's work in the context of Strategic Plan and our Annual Plan. This role sits within the Arts, Inclusion & Communities directorate and will work closely with the Youth Music Initiative Manager to support the delivery of the Youth Music Initiative Access to Music Making and Strengthening Youth Music Funds. The role involves working closely with a range of local, national stakeholders and partners to deliver and monitor key aspects of the programme.
You will act as a contact for activity, providing advice and guidance to organisations and individuals and supporting the delivery of a range of funded projects and sector initiatives, which will involve both internal and external working and collaboration. The role will involve assessing and making recommendations on a range of funding programmes, this will include the important priority work on the development and delivery of our Multi-Year funding project. You will also lead on a series of initiatives focused on sector learning and workforce development.
We require the candidate to be highly organised, with ability to self-plan and prioritise their workload, as well as excellent interpersonal skills including communication, influencing and negotiating.
The post requires a good understanding of the creative and policy context in which Creative Scotland works and a clear commitment to promoting Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion.
Experience and understanding of the arts in Scotland, combined with strong interpersonal skills, is essential. Experience of managing evaluation and monitoring processes is desirable, but not essential.
