Full time (35 hrs pw) – 6 months – Fixed term - Immediate Start 

Grade B

Salary: £28,685 pro rata plus pension and benefits

 

We are looking for a Media Relations and PR Coordinator to support the Company’s Media Relations and PR Team across a range of duties, from researching and writing press releases, triaging press enquiries, liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, logging, monitoring and analysing press coverage, and ensuring the Team’s press office systems are up to date and accurate.

Our ideal candidate will be a team player, who can hit the ground running and demonstrate the following:

  • Some understanding and experience of working in a busy Press Office and an understanding of the working methods of the media
  • Great research and writing skills
  • The ability to collate analytical data and accurately compile reporting data
  • A driven and proactive approach, with the ability to use own initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good aptitude for learning new applications
  • The ability to deal with a wide range of people and the media confidently, courteously and discreetly

 

Given this is a contract role, prior experience in an arts or media organisation will be highly regarded as will the ability to get up to speed with specialised subject-matter related to arts and culture and become operational in a short space of time.
